FAQs

Looks like you’ve got some questions. If they’re the kind that are asked frequently here, chances are you’ll find the answers below!

AgFlyers Forum Etiquette

General Conduct

Community forums are kind of like carpentry: Think twice, comment once. Not sure if what you’re saying is appropriate? Get up, go grab the beverage of your choice from the fridge, enjoy said beverage, then come back and make the call. Admins reserve the right to remove any content deemed inappropriate. If you feel your post has been removed in error, contact us and we’ll come to quorum. Remember, we’re all here to learn, and the golden rule is most certainly in effect.

Politics, Religion, and other “Touchy” Subjects

Please check in your belief systems at the door. Those sorts of discussions are just going to get in the way of the exchange of ideas between otherwise like-minded folks. Note that drone-specific rules, legislation and regulation are not always the same thing as “politics” per se.

Promote Safe and Responsible Flying

Admins will delete posts that promote unsafe UAS activity. That’s not to say if there’s a question as to whether something’s safe or responsible that the post is gonna get taken down. As a community, it’s our responsibility to show others that we are responsible and accountable for our actions.

Promoting Goods and Services?

Responsible Self-promotion

Got an event you’d like to get the word out about? Let us know ‘cuz there’s a place for that! Got a new product or service you’re looking to promote? A general announcement post on the forums is ok by us, but if you want to keep coming back to the well, please consider a forum sponsorship,  as we reserve the right to remove content that isn’t useful to the community (we’re talking spam here). Private individuals are more than welcome to post a one-off “classifieds”-style listing to unload an old part or two, but admins reserve the right to take down any post that doesn’t fit that context.

Forum Sponsorship Levels

We have two levels of sponsorship currently available: Site sponsorship and forum sponsorship.

Site sponsors get front-page priority for their brand, as well placement on feature stories. Forum sponsorship allows the sponsor to host a forum topic near and dear to them. For example if you’re the maker of X-Y widgets, you may want to consider hosting a widget-specific forum. Interested in sponsorship? Great! Hit us up at info@agflyers.com and we’ll be more than happy to set you up.
